  • This article is based on a doctoral dissertation completed at the State University of Iowa under the direction of Dr. Charles R. Strother. The study was made possible by a grant of five thousand dollars from the United States Children’s Bureau. Subjects for the study were selected from the services of Dr. Arthur Steindler, Department of Orthopedics, State University of Iowa Hospitals.
