  • * Hildred Schuell (Ph.D., Iowa) teaches speech in Washington High School, South Bend, Indiana. This is the second of two articles which constitute substantially a Doctoral dissertation submitted in partial fulfillment of the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Speech, State University of Iowa, August, 1946. The dissertation was written under the direction of Professor Wendell Johnson. The first part of the article was published in the December, 1946, issue of the Journal of Speech Disorders.
