  • * Hildred Schuell (Ph.D., Iowa) teaches speech in Washington High School, South Bend, Indiana. This is the first of two articles which constitute substantially a Doctoral dissertation submitted in partial fulfillment of the Ph.D. degree in the Department of Speech, State University of Iowa, August, 1946. The dissertation was written under the direction of Professor Wendell Johnson.
