  • * Professor Seashore is Dean of the Graduate College, State University of Iowa. At the last annual meeting of the American Speech Correction Association he was awarded The Honors of the Association in recognition of his long period of significant contribution to the profession. (See Journal of Speech Disorders, pp. 1–2, March, 1945.) The breadth of Dean Seashore’s scientific and creative interests is suggested in this paper, and the inspiring vigor of his continuing pioneer spirit is forcefully indicated. —The Editor.
